VIRGINIA BEACH - Mrs. Alma Absalom Hudgins, 70, of 430 Lakewood Circle, died 
Saturday in a hospital.
A native and lifelong resident of this area, she was the widow of James Carey 
Hudgins, and a member of Beach Lawn Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Milton T. Holland of Virginia Beach; three 
sisters, Mrs. Libby Whitehurst, Mrs. Nettie Campbell and Mrs. Lillie Walker, all 
of Norfolk; a grandson, Carey T. Holland of Virginia Beach; and two great-
grandsons.
A funeral will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in Maestas Funeral Home by the Rev. 
Donald F. Waldrop. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk. The family will 
be at 601 15th St. The family suggests memorials to Virginia Beach Rescue Squad 
or Beach Lawn Baptist Church Building Fund.
