VIRGINIA BEACH - A. Herman Hudgins, 83, of 4910 Ocean Front, retired president 
of R. W. Hudgins & Sons, Inc., a Norfolk industrial construction and marine 
supplies firm, died Tuesday at 3:20 p.m. in a hospital.
A native of Norfolk, he was the husband of Mrs. Virginia Waddell Hudgins and a 
son of Robert Wesley and Mrs. Theodosia Hurst Hudgins.
He lived in the Norfolk-Virginia Beach area all his life.
He was a member of Atlantic Masonic Lodge 2, Norfolk.
Besides his widow, surviving are nieces and nephews.
The body was taken to H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Laskin road, where a 
funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. John Lyles of 
First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk.
The family will be at 4910 Oceanfront.
