Virginian-Pilot February 11, 1954
Christopher C. Hudgins, Sr., 79, son of William Franklin and Mrs. Ley Ann Davis 
Hudgins, died yesterday at 8:30 p.m., at his residence in Princess Anne County, 
of which he was a lifelong resident.
Surviving him are four sons, James Carey Hudgins, of Virginia Beach; William 
Horace Hudgins, of Seattle, Wash.; C. C. Hudgins, Jr., and Emmett I. Hudgins, 
both of Princess Anne County; two daughters, Mrs. Arthur Woolford, of Virginia 
Beach, and Mrs. Margaret Fody, of Norman, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; five great-
grandchildren, and one brother, J. C. Hudgins, of Princess Anne County.
Services will be conducted at the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Saturday at 3 
p.m. by the Rev. Arnold B. Blount, of Kempsville. Burial will be in Elmwood 
Cemetery.
