S. Hudgins, who died Tuesday at the Red Sulphur Springs, were brought to this city yesterday over the Norfolk and Western railroad. The funeral took place in the afternoon from his late residence on Park avenue and was conducted by the Rev. J. T. Mastin, of McKendree M. E. Church, and the Rev. W. H. Edwards, of Portsmouth. The interment was in Elmwood Cemetery. The following were the pallbearers: H. M. Sparrow, H. Boswell Bagnall, W. D. Southall, George Curtis, W. S. Franklin, W. W. Dey, John Twohy and Captain W.
