Virginia Beach - Malvine Brown Hudgins, 91, of the 4200 block of Cheswick Ln., 
passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2012. She was a member of Haygood 
Methodist Church and a former member of the Cavalier Women's Golf Association. 
Mrs. Hudgins is survived by her husband of 73 years, William F. Hudgins, Jr., 
son, William F. Hudgins III, daughter, Ann H. Whitfield, two brothers, Alton L. 
and Thomas L. Brown; eight grandsons, twelve great-grandchildren, one great-
great-grandson, close friend Maureen Billing and caregiver and friend Melody 
Goode. She was predeceased by a daughter, Jean H. Bowen, two sisters, Dorothy B. 
Marker and Ruby Flowers, and a brother Eliott Brown. In lieu of flowers, 
memorial donations may be made to Hope Haven Children's Home, 3000 North Landing 
Road, Va. Beach, VA 23456 or a charity of one's choice. A graveside service will 
be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive 
friends on Monday evening from 6-7 p.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside
