NORFOLK COUNTY - Mrs. Mattie Wright Hudgins, 80, widow of William Edward Hudgins 
Sr., of Fentress, died Saturday at 9 a.m. in a Norfolk hospital after an illness 
of four months.
A native of York County, she had lived here most of her life. She was the 
daughter of James and Mrs. Mary Virginia Wright. She was a member of the 
Centerville Baptist Church of Fentress.
Surviving are two sons, William Edward Hudgins Jr., of Fentress and Matt J. 
Hudgins of Bayside; one sister, Mrs. W. S. Smith of Norfolk; five grandchildren 
and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at the Graham Funeral Home, 
South Norfolk. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk.
