Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch November 14, 1908
Miss Sarah F. Hudgins, aged 56 years, a most highly esteemed lady, died at 1 
o'clock this morning at the Almand Home, 485 Freemason street. The deceased, who 
had resided in Norfolk all her life, was a devoted member of Cumberland Street 
Church and had been prominent therein for a number of years. The funeral occurs 
from that church tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 and will be conducted by Rev. Dr. W. 
G. Starr.
