Virginian-Pilot November 25, 1916
Mrs. Vashti Hudgins, wife of J. C. Hudgins, died yesterday morning at a local 
hospital in her thirty-second year. The funeral will take place at the home of her 
brother-in-law, W. E. Hudgins, Kelly and Cape Henry avenues, Ballentine Place, 
Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Mrs. Hudgins was well known and highly esteemed. 
Besides her husband, she is survived by two children. She had been ill six months.
