Virginia Beach - William Franklin "Junie" Hudgins, Jr., 95, passed away on Aug. 
26, 2016. Born in Princess Anne Co., VA, he was the son of the late William F. 
Hudgins, Sr., and Nettie A. Campbell. He was preceded in death by his wife, 
Malvine Hudgins; brother, Honorable R. Stanley Hudgins; daughter and son-in-law, 
Jean and Cameron Bowen. Junie was a farmer and former director of Bank of 
Virginia Beach. He was a former member of Cavalier Golf and Yacht Club and 
present member of Haygood United Methodist Church. Left to cherish his memory: 
son, W. Frank Hudgins, III, and his wife, Brenda; daughter, Ann H. Whitfield; 
eight grandsons, three great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and 
a close friend, Maurine Billing. The family would like to extend a special 
thanks to his caregivers, Gwen, Donna, Cindy, Sadie, and Sheila from Grace 
Hospice. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside 
Chapel, on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016, from 6 to 7 p.m. A graveside service will be 
held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2016, at Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk. In lieu 
of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hope Haven Children's Home, 3000 
North Landing Rd., Virginia Beach, VA 23456 or a charity of your choice.
