William Franklin Hudgins, III, age 81, passed away peacefully in his home on 
Monday, December 7th, 2020. He was predeceased in death by his parents, William 
F. Hudgins, Jr. and Malvene Brown Hudgins; and a sister, Jean Hudgins Bowen. He 
is survived by his wife of 23 years, Brenda Woodward Hudgins; sons, William F. 
Hudgins IV and Robert Stanley Hudgins II and Laura Cox of Hollywood, Florida; 
two grandchildren, Brandon Hudgins and Heather Hudgins; 3 great-grandsons, 
Rylan, Ethan and Jaxan Alexander; a sister, Ann Hudgins Whitfield, and many 
close friends and family.
Frank retired from the Weaver Fertilizer Co., after 32 years, where he was Vice 
President of Manufacturing. He was a founding director of the Bank of Tidewater 
and enjoyed serving on the Board of Directors for 17 years. An avid goose and 
duck hunter, golfer and fisherman, he was one of the hosts of the Blue Pete 
Haven Hunters' Feast for over 42 years, which raised donations for the Hope 
Haven Childrens' Home and Union Mission.
His family wants to express sincere gratitude and thanks for the support of his 
closest and dear friends, and the tender care given by Ericka Fritz and Melody 
Goode. Due to the grave health risk at this time, a private graveside service 
will be held and a Celebration of Life will be scheduled for a later time.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Union Mission or the charity of
