All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Suzy Ward Fleming wardflemin@aol.com February 25, 2017, 11:49 pm The Virginian Pilot Monday December 12, 1960 Malvin Pearson Hudgins, 65, husband of Mrs. Ruth Mattox Hudgins and son of the late William P. and Mrs. Annie Elizabeth Hudgins, died in a Norfolk hospital Sunday at 6:30 a.m. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Marian Hudgins Sturm of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. W. L. Callis of Newport News; two brothers, W. G. Hudgins of Deal Island, Md., and E. L. Hudgins of Mathews County; a granddaughter, Mrs. Kay Sturm Taylor of Maquoketa, Iowa, and three great- grandsons, Clark Taylor, Mark Taylor and Brian Taylor. Mr. Hudgins was a native of Mathews County and lived in Norfolk for 51 years, residing at the time of his death at 2935 Dana St. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and had been in the employ of the Virginia Pilot Association for 21 years. A funeral service will be held in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Wednesday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
