MATHEWS - Mrs. Kathleen Iola Hudgins, 59, of Hallieford, died Monday in a Newport 
News hospital after a long illness.
Born in Providence, R.I., she lived in Mathews most of her life. She was a 
daughter of Thomas F. and Mrs. Mary Dunn.
Surviving are her husband, Capt. Romie J. Hudgins, of Hallieford; a sister, Mrs. 
William E. Miner, of Providence; two brothers, Thomas F. Dunn and James H. Dunn, 
of Providence; a granddaughter, Mrs. Phillip Saddler of Newport News; and a great-
grandson.
The rosary will be recited in Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Blakes, Wednesday at 8 
p.m.
A requiem mass will be said Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Theresa Church of the 
Little Flower, Gloucester, by the Rev. Edmond P. McCarthy. Burial will be in St. 
Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Norfolk.
