Norfolk Virginian November 13, 1894

 Little Eleanor Hudgins, the 7 year old daughter of Capt. O.F. Hudgins, died 
yesterday morning about 9 o'clock at the residence of her father, on Pine 
street.  After lingering about six weeks with diphtheria, she was attacked 
with paralysis of the throat and had nearly recovered from that, when she 
was attacked again yesterday morning while eating her breakfast in her 
mother's arms.  This time it touched her heart and before a doctor could 
reach her she had passed away.

The funeral of Capt. Hudgins' little girl will take place today between 2 
and 3 o'clock p.m.  Undertaker Smith, of Norfolk, Va. has charge of the 
remains.

The funeral of little Eleanor Hudgins took place yesterday afternoon from 
her father's residence on Middleton street.  Interment was made in Magnolia 
Cemetery.
