Norfolk Virginian January 10, 1892

Miss Annie DeCormis Hughes, second daughter of Mr. Thomas Hughes, died at 
the family residence, 19 Cumberland Street, at 5 o'clock Saturday afternoon 
of La Grippe.  Miss Hughes was a bright and promising young lady of 22 
years.  The funeral will take place this afternoon at 3 p.m. from the First 
Presbyterian Church.

The funeral of Miss Annie DeCormis Hughes took place Sunday afternoon at 3 
o'clock from the First Presbyterian Church and was conducted by Rev. J.I. 
Vance.  The interment was at Cedar Grove.  The pallbearers were as follows: 
Col. George Tait, Capt. Wm. H. Collins, Messrs. T.D.M. Wood, J.B. Hilton, 
Robert Cahoon, and H.T. Hunter.
