NORFOLK - Mrs. Alice Fulford Hughes, 71, of 1111 Spottswood Ave., the widow of 
Charles S. Hughes Jr., died Monday at 6:45 a.m. in her home.
A native of Norfolk, she was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Lullie Elliott Fulford; and a son, Charles S. 
Hughes III of Charlottesville.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Twiford Funeral Chapel, 
Colley Avenue, by the Rev. Walton W. Davis of St. Paul's Church. Burial will be in 
Elmwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Cancer Society. They 
will be at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 8:30.
