Mrs. Julia Hughes of 1344 Marshall avenue, Norfolk, died at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 28 at 
her residence following a short illness.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Nov. 30 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the 
Rev. R. L. Adams, pastor, officiating. A native of Norfolk, Mrs. Hughes was the 
daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Woodhouse.

Mrs. Hughes is survived by her husband, Isaiah Hughes; a sister, Mrs. Geraldine 
DeBerry; and a brother, Richard Woodhouse. Interment was in Mt. Olive Cemetery 
with Pretlow’s Funeral Home in charge.
