                  Death of Mrs. Virginia Hughlett.
At Kennington, Norfolk county, on July 26th, 1893, Mrs. Virginia Fauntleroy 
Hughlett, widow of Thos. Hughlett, the mother-in-law of L. M. Silvester, clerk 
of the Circuit Court, and aunt of Mr. G. F. Edwards and Mrs. John W. Happer, of 
this city, in the 78th year of her age. She was the daughter of Griffin Edwards 
and Priscilla Lee Edwards, granddaughter of Kendall Lee of "Dutchley," 
Northumberland county, and was born in that county on the 16th day of June, 
1815. She was a lady of considerable poetical and literary attainments, and was 
an exceedingly interesting conversationalist. She connected herself with the 
Methodist Church in early life and lived and died a consistent member of that 
church.
