Virginia Beach - William Bradford Hume, 65, passed away June 10, 2017. Brad was 
born in Norfolk, Virginia on August 3, 1951. He was a graduate of Maury High 
School and Roanoke College, where he majored in business. After college, Brad 
had a very successful career as a commodities futures broker with Prudential-
Bache Securities in Boston and New York City. He retired and moved to Va. Beach 
in 1990. Brad was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Stuart Hume, his 
mother, Dorothy Tazewell Hume and his brother, Joseph Stuart Hume, Jr. He is 
survived by his siblings, John Hamilton Hume and wife Anita, Jean Hume 
Taliaferro and husband Kem, Dorie Hume Fuller and husband Webb, Isabel Claiborne 
Hume, and many nieces and nephews. Many fine memories exist of his outdoor 
activities, including numerous hunting, fishing and surfing excursions. The 
enormous void left in our hearts will be filled with memories of his kind, 
humorous nature. He will be missed dearly. A graveside service will be held at 
11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 2017, at Elmwood Cemetery in Norfolk. In lieu of 
flowers, the family requests that donations be made to any Virginia Beach Rescue
