Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - November 14, 1993
Edith Elizabeth Humphreys, 87, a retired secretary, died Nov. 12, 1993, in 
Norfolk. 
She was born in Norfolk and had retired from Life Insurance Co. of Va. after 35 
years. She was a member of Willowwood Presbyterian Church and the National 
Secretaries Association and was a charter member of Sherwood Forest Senior 
Citizens Club. She was the daughter of the late John T. Humphreys and Sarah L. 
Humphreys. 
Survivors include a brother, Vernon D. Humphreys of Virginia Beach. 
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, 
Tidewater Drive Chapel, by the Rev. Frank Drake. Burial will be in Riverside 
Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home at 10 a.m. 
Monday prior to the funeral service. Memorial donations may be made to 
Willowwood Presbyterian Church.
