Virginian Pilot Wednesday September 2, 1942


Mrs. Martha Humphrey, aged 77, widow of Wilson T. Humphrey, died at a local 
hospital yesterday morning at 1 o’clock after a long illness. She was a native 
of Norfolk, residing here all of her life.
The body will be taken from the funeral chapel of James V. Derry, 1920 Colley 
Avenue, this morning to Elmwood Cemetery for services at the grave at 11 
o’clock. The Rev. W. T. Grover, pastor of the Westminster Presbyterian Church 
will officiate.
