HUMPHRIES DIES IN BED SUDDENLY Pinkney L. Humphries, 60 years old, who conducted the only restaurant on this side of the river for many years, died suddenly at the home of his cousin, Henry Humphries, 205 Appomattox street, Friday night at 11:45 o'clock. He retired at the usual time and called Mrs. Humphries a few minutes before he expired informing her that he was sick. He was a son of the late Peter and Fannie Wilkins Humphries of Norfolk County, but had been a resident of the city 30 years. He is survived by a brother, Q.T. Humphries and a sister, Mrs Frances Pearson of Berkley. The funeral will take place at the residence of his sister, Mrs. Pearson, 219 Main street, this afternoon at 5:30 o'clock and will be conducted by Rev W.R. Flannagan. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. ****************************************************************** The funeral of Pinkney L. Humphries was conducted at the home of his sister, Mrs. Frances Pearson, 219 Main street, yesterday afternoon. The services were conducted by Rev. W.R. Flannagan, pastor of the Berkley Avenue Baptist Church and interment was in Magnolia Cemetery. The pallbearers were, Jesse Nichols, William Thomas, John Spry, H.C. Land, James Holland and J.w. Griffin.
