Virginian-Pilot July 25, 1911
Alfred Humphries, who has been under treatment at St. Vincent's Hospital, died at 
that institution at 12:30 Monday morning, in the 66th year of his age. The 
deceased had been a resident of Norfolk thirty-five years and was a member of 
Industry Council Fraternal Americans. The funeral will be held from his late 
residence, 116 South Maltby avenue, at 2 o'clock this afternoon and will be 
conducted by Rev. E. P. Miner, St. Luke's Episcopal Church. The interment will be 
in Elmwood cemetery.

Additional Comments:
The tombstone date of death is wrong and, based on the time of death from this 
obituary, his death certificate is also wrong.
