Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch April 28, 1954
Mrs. Mary Edwards Hunt, widow of John W. Hunt, and daughter of the late Capt. 
Oscar E. and Mrs. Sarah Baker Edwards, a native and former resident of Norfolk and 
of recent years a resident of Washington, D.C., died today at Alexandria.
She is survived by a nephew, Capt. Elliott D. Edwards, of Hampton, and a niece, 
Mrs. Sarah Zilink, of California.
The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Elmwood 
Cemetery for services at the grave Friday at 11 a.m., by the Rev. Sparks W. 
Melton, D.D., pastor-emeritus of Freemason Street Baptist Church.

Additional Comments:
While her tombstone and death certificate give the date of death as April 27, from 
two different obituaries, she died on the 28th.
