 Norfolk Virginian Pilot Wednesday October 9, 1940
Mrs. Mary Taylor Hunt, aged 45, wife of John M. Hunt, died at a local 
hospital yesterday afternoon at 2:20 o'clock after a short illness. She was 
a daughter of the late Claudius W. and Mrs. Mary McHorney Taylor and a 
native and lifelong resident of Norfolk. Surviving her besides her husband 
are two daughters, Miss Virginia Miller and Mrs. Elizabeth Root; three sons, 
Robert S., Elvin O. Miller and Herbert R. Dozier; one granddaughter, one 
sister, Mrs. W.R. Russell; one brother, R.B. Taylor, and several nieces and 
nephews, all of Norfolk.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the 
funeral chapel of James V. Derry, Colley and Harrington avenues. Burial will 
be in Elmwood Cemetery.
