Mr. Hunt, a native of Oxford, N.C., was an honorary member of the Hampton Roads Utility and Heavy Contractors Association. He was a member of the American Cut Glass Association. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II and was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Lowery Hunt; two sisters, Margaret Hudgins of Grafton, Va. and Rebecca Hunt Adock of Henderson, N.C.; and a brother, Carey P. Hunt of Urbanna, Va. The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Elmwood Cemetery by the Rev. Ted Bashford. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, is handling arrangements. Friends may join the family at the residence. Memorial donations may be made to the Hope Haven Children's Home.
