The Daily Pilot Sunday May 23, 1897

Mrs. E. H. Hunter died Friday night about 10 o'clock from the effects of a 
fall received in the afternoon.  The funeral services will be performed Monday 
at 4 p.m. in Chestnut Street Methodist Church, the pastor, Rev. R.M. Chandler, 
officiating. The deceased was 77 years of age and had for a number of years 
been a consistent member of the Methodist Church.  She was well known for her 
public and private charities and her loss will be greatly mourned, not only by 
her relatives, but by a host of life long and admiring friends.  The remains 
will be interred in Magnolia Cemetery.
