NORFOLK — Hilery Saunders Hunter, 82, formerly of Burleigh Ave., died Wednesday in 
a hospital.
He was a lifelong resident of Norfolk and a member of Park Place Baptist Church 
and the Elizabeth Masonic Lodge. He had retired from a job at the Naval Supply 
Center.
Survivors include a niece, Sue Hunter Bennett of Gainesville, Fla., and two 
nephews, James Richard Hunter of Fairfax and Thomas Presley Hunter of Suffolk.
A graveside service with Masonic rites will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in 
Elmwood Cemetery by Drs. Paul B. Watlington Jr. and Furman Kenney. H.D. Oliver 
Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, has charge.
