L. W. HUNTER - The funeral of this estimable young gentleman took place yesterday afternoon from his late residence on Bute street and was very largely attended. The services were conducted by the Rev. N. A. Okeson, D. D., and were of a singularly appropriate and impressive character. There was a very large attendance of the friends of the deceased and his family, including the Chesapeake and Undine boat clubs (of the latter of which he was a member) and which wore mourning badges on the occasion. The following young gentlemen acted as pallbearers: Walter Masi, Wright Hipkins, Lemuel Harrison, Willie N. Grubb, J. A. Nicholson, Claude Martin, L. T. Waller and George Rose. The funeral procession proceeded to the cemetery with slow and solemn steps and deposited the body of the deceased in its last place of repose with the solemn rites of the church, to rest undisturbed until the grave shall give up its dead.
