Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, July 9, 1996 
Gladys M. Hunter, of the 5900 block of Poplar Hall Drive, died July 7, 1996, in
a local hospital.

She was born in Morehead City, N.C., and was a retired domestic. She was a
member of Greater Metropolitan AMEZ Church; the Altar Guild; and United Order of
Tent.

Survivors include a cousin, Mable L. Dudley of Morehead City, N.C.; a niece,
Gladys Wilson of New York City; and a goddaughter, Claudia Jordan of Hampton.

The funeral will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Thomas Tucker in
Greater Metropolitan AMEZ Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Graves
Funeral Home is in charge. Friends may join the family at the residence. The
body will be taken to church at 9:30 a.m.
