Hunter, 72, of the 1150 Eagle Ave., a retired Navy chief warrant officer, died April 16, 1992, in a hospital. Mr. Hunter was born in Lima, Ohio. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He had also retired from Stewart Sandwiches as a quality control technician. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and was the widower of Helen A. Hunter. Survivors include three daughters, Katherine C. Volk of Buckingham, Va., and Mary A. McDonnell and Patricia M. Scott, both of Norfolk; two sons, Vincent C. Hunter of Ashland, Conn., and J. Michael Hunter of Norfolk; and 13 grandchildren. Funeral rites will be conducted at noon Saturday in St. Pius X Catholic Church by the Rev. Michael M. Duffy and the Rev. Jaime V. Parnada. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. The Rosary will be said at 5 p.m. today in Hollomon- Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the church.
