Virginian Pilot March 17, 1920

Hunter-At his residence, 318 York Street, Monday afternoon, March 15, 1920, at 
3:45 o’clock, Samuel H. Hunter.

The remains will be taken from the funeral apartments of H. C. Smith Co., 306 
and 308 Banks Street, to Elmwood Cemetery for funeral services at the grave 
this (Wednesday) morning, March 17, at 11 o’clock. Friends of the family 
invited to attend.

 

Norfolk Ledger Dispatch March 16, 1920

Samuel H. Hunter died suddenly at his residence, 318 York Street, yesterday 
afternoon. He was 52 Years of Age. He is survived by his widow and two 
daughters, Miss Ruth Hunter and Miss Hazel Hunter both of Norfolk. 

The remains will be sent via the N.Y.P. and N.R. R. today at 6 p.m. to New York 
City for funeral and burial.
