NORFOLK – Helen A. Parker Hunter, 70, of the 1100 block of Eagle Ave., died April 
29, 1988, in a hospital.
Mrs. Hunter, a native of Nunda, N.Y., was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, 
Legion of Mary, and Third Order of Lay Carmelites. She was a Eucharistic minister 
of St. Pius X Parish.
Survivors include her husband, Vincent M. Hunter; three daughters, Katherine Volk, 
Mary H. McDonnell and Tricia Scott, all of Norfolk; two sons, Dr. Vincent C. 
Hunter of Ashford, Conn., and J. Michael Hunter of Norfolk; a brother, James C. 
Parker of Nunda; and 13 grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 6:45 p.m. Monday in St. Pius X Catholic Church, 
Norfolk, by Father Charles A. Saglio. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic 
Cemetery. A Rosary service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Hollomon-Brown 
Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to Monastery 
of Poor Clares, 28 Harpersville Road, Newport News, Va. 23501.
