Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, May 2, 2001 
NORFOLK - Benjamin Harrison Hunter Jr., 80, of 3022 Dogan St. died April 30,
2001, in Lake Taylor Hospital.

Bennie Hunter, as he was also known, was born in Goochland County and graduated
from Norfolk High School. He retired from Chesapeake and Ohio Railway.

He is survived by daughters, Yvonne Mullen of Dover, Del., Vanessa Hunter of
Atlanta, Ga., and Bianca Jackson of Virginia Beach; sons, Byron Hunter of
Virginia Beach and Cornell Hunter of Norfolk; sister, Mary Snead of Portsmouth;
brothers, Eugene Hunter of Norfolk and Donald Hunter of Camden, N.J.; nine
grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sons-in-law, Staffon Jackson of
Dumfries, Va., and Kenneth Mullen of Dover; two sisters-in-law, Orna Hunter of
Norfolk and Barbara Hunter of Camden; two daughters-in-law, Pamela Hunter of
Norfolk and Betty Hunter of Virginia Beach.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Hale Funeral Home chapel by Sister
Holt. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery .
