Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch June 19, 1931
Otis James Hurst, Sr., aged 62, died at the residence, Mathews County, this 
morning at 1 o'clock. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. S. H. Forrest of 
Norfolk; Mrs. J. H. Guynn and Mrs. Stanley Atherton, both of Hudgins, Va., and 
Miss Rosebud Hurst, of Hudgins, and a son, Otis J. Hurst, Jr., of Norfolk.
Funeral services will be conducted at the residence tomorrow morning at 10 
o'clock. Burial will be in Elmwood cemetery tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock.
