The youngster's fight for life ended when his lungs collapsed after expert surgeons had performed a cardiac operation Wednesday. He had lived longer than was at first expected. when he was born he had three heart chambers instead of four and the illness that resulted caused his lips, finger tips and toes to turn blue. The Heart Assn. and nearby hospitals, together with individuals joined in the fight to assist the child. Francis J. Brooke Jr., pastor of the Second Presbyterian Church.
