Norfolk Funeral services for Rodney Keith Hurst 3 1/2 year-old "Blue Baby", who 
died in the University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville, after an 
operation, will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Saturday at 3 
p.m. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery.

The youngster's fight for life ended when his lungs collapsed after expert 
surgeons had performed a cardiac operation Wednesday. He had lived longer than 
was at first expected. when he was born he had three heart chambers instead of 
four and the illness that resulted caused his lips, finger tips and toes to 
turn blue. 

The Heart Assn. and nearby hospitals, together with individuals joined in the 
fight to assist the child.

Rodney Keith Hurst- Funeral services for the three and a half year old son of 
Otis J. and Mrs. Helen Austin Hurst were to be conducted at Hollomon-Brown 
Funeral Home today at 3 p.m. by the Rec. Francis J. Brooke Jr., pastor of the 
Second Presbyterian Church. Burial was to be in Elmwood Cemetery
