Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch January 21, 1916
Henry T. Hurtt died last night at his home, 311 31st street, after a protracted 
illness, aged 61 years. He was a native of North Carolina, and had resided in 
Norfolk 25 years, being a most estimable citizen, with a great many friends who 
will regret exceedingly his demise. He was for years connected with the mechanical 
department of the Ledger-Dispatch, being a printer and proof-reader by occupation, 
and he was held in the very highest esteem by all connected with the paper. He was 
a member of Norfolk Lodge of Odd Fellows. He is survived by his wife. The funeral 
occurs Sunday at 3 p.m. at the residence. The interment will be in Elmwood.
