Whitley. Mrs. Hurtt was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Margaret James, of Washington, D.C.; three grandsons, Byron C. Joyner, of New York City; L. Litton Gooch, of Norfolk and Linwood James, of Washington. She was a consistent member of the Ascension Episcopal Church. Funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Gregory Funeral Home, Thirty-fourth and Granby street, by the Rev. G.S. Gresham, rector of the church which she was a member. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
