NORFOLK - Mrs. Eva Mae Banks Hurwitz, 48, wife of Harry Paul Hurwitz and 
daughter of Morris Banks and the late Mrs. Bessie Katzen Banks, died in a 
Norfolk hospital Sunday at 12:45 p.m.
A native of Norfolk, she resided at 224 W 38t St at the time of death, and she 
was a member of B'Nai Israel Congregation.
Besides her husband and father, she is survived by two brothers, William Banks 
of Norfolk and Paul Banks of Newport News, and five sisters, Mrs. Fannie Holzweig
Holzweig and Mrs. Sidney Friedland of Newport News, Mrs. Morris Ronick of 
Norfolk, Mrs. Nat Scheinman of New York City, and Mrs. Bella Soltz of Dunellen, 
NJ.
A funeral service will be held at H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts today at 3 p.m. by 
Rabbi Israel Bornstein of B'Nai Israel Congregation, with burial in B'Nai 
Israel Cemetery. The family will assemble at 905 Shirley Ave before the service 
and at 224 W 28th St afterward.
