Hutchins, aged 34 years, died at his residence, 219 ˝ Fifteenth street, last night at 6 o’clock, after a long illness. Mr. Hutchins, who was a commission merchant, was a native of Roanoke, but had been a resident of Norfolk for the last 15 years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Cardozo Hutchins; two children, John R., Jr., and Elizabeth Hutchins; his mother, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Hutchins, of Richmond, and three sisters, Mrs. C. A. Clarke, Mrs. S. H. Styevalt and Mrs. Harry Meeks, all of Richmond. He was a member of the Norfolk Lodge of Elks and Eagles. The body was taken to the residence of his father-in-law, W. K. Cardozo, 1118 Brambleton avenue. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. John R. Hutchins – Funeral services for Mr. Hutchins will be held at 10 o’clock this morning at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
