He was the husband of Mrs. Charlotte Hill Hutchison and a son of Andrew Buchanan and Mrs. Elizabeth Campbell Hutchison. A native of Largs, Ayrshire, Scotland, he had lived in Norfolk since 1960. He was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church, a retired bank manager of the Royal Bank of Canada in Cuba and the Dominion(sic) Republic, and a former British consul in the Dominion (sic) Republic. He served in the Scottish Highland Light Infantry in World War I. Surviving, besides his wife, are a son, Peter C. Hutchison Jr. of Charlottesville; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas M. Glassburner and a grandson, Thomas Reid Glassburner, both of Norfolk; and two brothers, William Hutchison of White Horse, Yukon, and James Campbell Hutchison of Alberta, Canada. The body will be taken from H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Elmwood Cemetery for a funeral service Monday at 11 a.m. The family requests that flowers be omitted and those desiring make a contribution to St. Andrew's Building Fund.
