Virginian-Pilot May 24, 1904
Mrs. Elizabeth J. Hyatt passed away at the home of Mr. T. J. Godfrey, 124 Charles 
street, Sunday, at 7:20 a.m., in the 50th year of her age. The funeral was 
solemnized from the residence at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon. The service was 
conducted by Rev. William A. Barr, rector of St. Luke's Episcopal church, assisted 
by Rev. Dr. Carl E. Grammer, of Christ church. The remains were laid to rest in 
Elmwood cemetery.
