The Virginian-Pilot, Monday, June 28, 1965

NORFOLK - George L. Hyman, 44, of 813 E. 25th St., husband of Mrs. Edither 
Hyman, died Saturday in a hospital.

A native of Scotland Neck, N.C., was a son of Mingo and Mrs. Lucy Hyman. He 
worked at the Army Base 14 years and the Naval Base three years. He was a member 
of In Street Baptist Church of Scotland Neck.

Surviving, besides his parents and widow, are a son, George Hyman Jr. and a 
brother, James L. Hyman, both of Norfolk; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Etta Knight, 
Mrs. Lucy O. Hall and Mrs. Susie Mae Harris of Norfolk and Mrs. Catherine 
Anthony of Scotland Neck.

The body is at Riddick Funeral Home.
