Virginian Pilot Wednesday October 10, 1906
Mrs. Lillian Irene Hyslop, wife of Lenard Hyslop, Jr., died yesterday morning at 
5:15 o'clock at the family residence, No. 71 Liberty street, after an illness of 
about two weeks.
The deceased was a daughter of the late A.J. and Kate M. Kerns, and possessed 
quite a number of friends in this place.
Mrs. Hyslop was 37 years old and is survived by a husband and daughter, Miss 
Lennie Hyslop. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal church.
The funeral will be conducted from the residence this afternoon at 4 o'clock, 
with Rev. E.J. Cowling, rector of St. Thomas Episcopal church, assisted by Rev. 
W.A. Smith, pastor of the Berkley Avenue Baptist church, officiating.
The interment will be in Magnolia cemetery.

The funeral of the late Mrs. Lillian Irene Hyslop took place at the residence, 
71 Liberty street, yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock, and was very largely 
attended.
Rev. E.W. Cowling, rector of St. Thomas Episcopal church and Rev. W.A. Smith, 
pastor of Berkley Avenue Baptist church and Rev. Geo. J. Hobday officiated.
There were many beautiful floral tributes.
The interment was in Magnolia cemetery and the following gentlemen acted as 
pallbearers: Messrs. W.L. Berkley, C.B. Gibbs, Dr. J.A. Proctor, N.H. Palmer, 
Norman F. Allen, W. H. Spence, Arthur G. McCoy, Harry Graves and C.E. Rudd.
