Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark May 19,1917

Mrs. Mattie Isabelle Hyslop, aged 69 years, died yesterday morning at 3:30 
o'clock, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. D.D. Tuttle, 129 Main Street.  
She is survived by one sister, Mrs. J.M. Thompson, of Richmond, two 
daughters, Mesdames D.D. and A.A. Tuttle, Berkley and six grandchildren.  
Mrs. Hyslop was a native of Richmond, but had resided here several years.
The funeral will be conducted this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the above 
residence, by Rev. W.H. Osborne, rector of St. Thomas' P.E. Church, assisted 
by Rev. W.R. Flannagan, pastor of the Berkley Avenue Baptist Church and 
burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
