Virginian-Pilot January 31, 1942
Robert C. Hyslop, aged 75, died suddenly yesterday morning at a local hotel where 
he resided. He was a native of Accomac County and has been a resident of Norfolk 
for 52 years. He was the son of the late Smith and Mrs. Julia Susan Hyslop. 
Surviving him are a sister, Mrs. Thomas Starkey; a niece, Mrs. Ethel Joynes; two 
nephews, William H. and Thomas Starkey, of Norfolk. The body will be taken from 
the funeral chapel of James V. Derry, 1920 Colley avenue, to Elmwood Cemetery 
Sunday morning for funeral services at the grave at 10 o'clock.
