The schooner Annie Shepherd, Capt. W. P. Curtis, bound from Baltimore to Providence, R. I., with a cargo of pig iron, put into this port early yesterday consigned to F. M. Peed, in distress, leaking and with her sails torn, having experienced heavy weather on the Bay on the trip. Wm. Ide, a passenger who was formerly the cook of the schooner and a native of Rahway, N.J., where his friends live, died after a prolonged spree. His people were notified by telegraph. The remains will be temporarily buried here.
