Jesse’s great honesty, kindness and generosity extended beyond his business practice into his social and spiritual communities. He was a faithful member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, participating in the Eucharistic ministry, the financial committee and Perpetual Adoration. He is survived by his wife, Ely, children, Jesse Jr., Lisa, Ellen, Cynthia and Theresa; seven siblings, his parents; and his primary caregivers, nieces Allison Flores and Vivian Obdianela. His most recent and greatest joy was time spent with his new grandson, Otoy Evan. Visitation will be held at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, today from 6 to 8 p.m. with a wake Friday at 7 p.m. A funeral Mass will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church and burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery following.
