VIRGINIA BEACH - Mrs. Maria T. Illy, 79, of 1031 Dam Neck Road, the widow of 
Lawrence A. Illy, died Wednesday in her home.
A native of Germany, she lived in this area most of her life. She was a member of 
Star of the Sea Catholic Church, the Third Order of St. Francis, and Daughters of 
Isabella.
Survivors include a son, Thomas J. Illy of Virginia Beach; a sister, Mrs. 
Magdeline Herhager of Flat Rock, Mich.; and two grandchildren.
The Rosary will be said tonight at 7 in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Laskin 
Road.
A Requiem Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 9 a.m. in Star of the Sea Catholic 
Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Memorial donations may be sent to 
Virginia Beach Rescue Squad.
