Inman, a longtime resident of Riverview, died Wednesday, July 2, 2008. She was 82. Mrs. Inman was born in Kenosha, Wis., the daughter of the late Arthur Phillip Schulte and Marjorie Wright Schulte. She was very active in the local Catholic community. She was a founding member of the Holy Apostles Church in Virginia Beach and was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church at the time of her death. Mrs. Inman also retired from Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was active in Norfolk Police Community Relations and the Lutheran, Anglican, Roman Catholic Covenant. Mrs. Inman also held positions with the Federal Civil Service in Great Lakes, Ill., Pensacola, Fla., Army Terminal-Norfolk, Norfolk Naval Station and Public Health Services in Norfolk. Mrs. Inman moved here as a Navy wife some 55 years ago. She and her husband raised five children. Mrs. Inman was preceded in death by a son, R. Brian Inman and a grandson, Matthew P. Inman. Survivors include her husband, Raymond E. Inman; four children, Raymond E. Inman Jr. "Butch", and his wife Nancy Yerby Inman, Karen Inman Christopherson, Christine A. Inman, Michael P. Inman and his wife Teresa Vaccarella-Inman; a daughter-in- law, Nancy Busky Inman; eight grandchildren, Benjamin R. Inman and his wife Melissa, Kyle R. Inman, Michael B. Inman, Gabriel B. Inman, Tom Krotzer and his wife Talisha, Andy Krotzer, Kenneth O. Church Jr. and his wife Cindy, Christopher Todd Church and his wife April; and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Inman is also survived by a brother, Norman J. Schulte and his wife Elaine of Atlanta. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Christ the King Catholic Church in Norfolk by Father Brian Rafferty. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. There will be a reception at the church following the burial. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 until 8 p.m. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, is in charge. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Southeastern chapter or the American Cancer Society.
