The Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark Tuesday June 6, 1933
Edward D. Ireland, aged 77, died yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock at his 
residence, 316 West Thirty-third street.  The son of the late Thomas and 
Mrs. Elizabeth Ireland, he was a native of Bury, Lancashire, England, and 
had lived in Norfolk for the past 30 years.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Rebecca Ireland; two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth 
H. Carter, of Utica, N.Y. and Mrs. Marjorie R. Sorrell, of Norfolk; one son, 
Edward Ireland, of Norfolk, and four grandchildren.  Mr. Ireland was a 
member of the Unitarian Church and the Order of Red Men.
The body was removed to the funeral home of Ewell & Williamson, 436 West 
Thirty-fifth street, pending the completion of funeral arrangements.
